Our Story

Sábiè Game Park is situated on the Eastern Border of the Kruger National Park in Mozambique. Sábiè is an integral component of a significant Transfrontier Conservation Area between Mozambique and South Africa. The current boundary being the Corumane Lake fed by the Sábiè River and to the North the Massintsontso River. This 40km boundary with the park and 30 000h.k / 60 000 Acres to the east is one of the finest hunting areas in Africa today with hunting as a means of conservation is securing the future and wildlife of our park.

Sábiè makes you feel one with nature. You can watch a beautiful African sunset while you enjoy a sundowner in the boma. The hearty cuisine of the kitchen staff will make you feel at home while you listen to the sounds of nature and watch a starlit evening sky.

Experience the Big 5, especially Elephant, Lion, Leopard and Buffalo. Sábiè is working towards becoming the first and only Rhino sanctuary in Mozambique. Plains game abounds with plentiful Hippo in the lake.

Sábiè also boast with birds that are on the endangered and near threatened list. (See birdlife).

Sábiè Game Park is two hours via road travel from Maputo and two hours from Nelspruit Mpumalanga and a 4x4 is needed, especially during the rainy season. Sabie Game Park boast also with its own landing strip big enough for a King Air to land on. GPS coordinates on map.
